What's In Store for 2017?

  • José’s longtime friend Aglaia Kremezi will be coming to DC for a week at the end of January. During her visit she will spend time doing R&D and presenting a special menu at Zaytinya. Follow her visit here.
  • José will be heading to Austin this March for South by Southwest (SXSW) to talk food, tech, and entrepreneurship at this annual music festival. More details about his plans to come! Learn more here.
  • Join José and the Oyamel team between February 27 and March 12 to celebrate the fruit of the agave, as well as Oyamel’s 10th anniversary, during the Tequila Mezcal Festival! Bartenders will be pouring classic tequila cocktails, smoky mezcal, and of course, José’s favorite Salt Air Margaritas. The menu will also feature tequila and mezcal specials, highlighting some of the best distilleries in Mexico. Check it out here.
  • After two delicious pop-ups at Verizon’s Launch Test Kitchen, first featuring Beefsteak’s signature bowls and then Pepe’s favorite sandwiches, we’re heading back to the arena with the Oyamel team, serving tortas and fried potatoes with smoky mole sauce. See you at Section 105 at the Verizon Center in downtown DC!
  • José has partnered with NetJets, a private jet company, starting in 2017. Now those planning to fly on NetJets from the Washington, DC area will have the opportunity to enjoy favorites from Oyamel, Jaleo, and Zaytinya at 40,000 feet!
