Through June 30: Paella Festival at Jaleo:Paella Festival returns to Jaleo! All D.C.-area Jaleo restaurants are featuring five limited-time, specialty paellas with wine pairings for this two-week festival. Try a paella with duck confit or the traditional black fideua of toasted pasta with squid ink, red mullet, and baby octopus. The “Farmer’s Market” paella with summer truffles, sourced with local, seasonal vegetables, will also come with a discounted copy of José’s new cookbook, Vegetables Unleashed. Through July 7: America Eats Tavern Summer Road Trip Festival: This new festival at America Eats celebrates the epic American road trip, featuring dishes from Baltimore all the way to New Orleans, including soft shell crab, smoked shrimp ‘n’ grits, and oyster po’boys. Try a dish each week and get your passport card stamped for the opportunity to win prizes including tickets to the 5th of July party! Through August 11: RoZAY Brunch at Zaytinya: Every Saturday and Sunday through August 11 join Zaytinya in D.C. and Frisco as we celebrate the season with our exclusive rosé brunch! Toast with our special experience menu, featuring two courses of mezze, dessert, and your choice of rosé flight for only $35 per person. Plan your rosé toast here.
June-July: Live Music at America Eats Tavern: Every Wednesday 7-9pm, America Eats Tavern hosts live music on the patio with extended Social Hour specials to get you through the week and let you enjoy the summer rays. Starting June 21, there will also be live music on some Fridays to get the weekend party started. Check out the calendar to see which bands are playing.
June 19: barmini 101 Cocktail Class: Inspired by José’s D.C. restaurant China Chilcano and the rich and multicultural cuisine of Peru, barmini celebrates the country’s iconic classic cocktails, including the Chilcano and Pisco Sour, in this exclusive Cocktail 101 class. Reserve your spot now.
June 20: Zaytinya Whole Sheep Dinner: Zaytinya Concept Chef Michael Costa invites you to the summer edition of their whole sheep dinner series, a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.Chef Costa has created a special tasting menu that will incorporate an entire sheep, with wine pairings for each dish selected by Master Sommelier Andy Myers. June 24: China Chilcano Criollo Dinner: China Chilcano invites you to a one-night-only chef’s dinner celebrating the flavors and techniques of Criollo cuisine. Representing Spanish and West African influences, Criollo is traditional Peruvian cooking, built upon indigenous ingredients like aji peppers, potatoes, fruits, and grains. This authentic dining experience will be a six-course family-style feast accompanied by chilcanos and pisco sours and led by Head Chef Carlos Delgado, whose recent travels to Peru inspired the menu. Enjoy unique, large format presentations of new dishes including the Tiradito Norteño and an impressive whole fish preparation. Get your tickets for this exclusive dining experience here!
June 24-30: Negroni Week at Oyamel: Oyamel will partner with Imbibe Magazine and Campari during Negroni Week, a celebration of one of the world’s great cocktails and an effort to raise money for charities around the world. Bars and restaurants across D.C., including Oyamel, will mix classic Negronis and Negroni variations for a great cause – Oyamel will feature a Mezcal Negroni as well as a Hibiscus Gin Negroni. Make a reservation to try the cocktails with dinner or just come to the bar at Oyamel for some chips, guacamole, and a Negroni.
July 1-28: China Chilcano Ceviche Festival: China Chilcano’s daily menu of ceviches gets an even bigger upgrade for the annual Ceviche Festival! Try one or all of the almost 20 ceviches on offer – Vegan Ceviche, Oysters a la Chalaca, and Ceviche Caliente are just a few of the unique ceviches that will make their debut. July 5: Summer Road Trip Festival Finale Party at America Eats Tavern: America Eats Tavern celebrates July 4th, the finale of the road trip, and all things Americana at its 5th of July party. Revelers of all ages can enjoy passed bites, food stations, live music, and fun activities – get your tickets here.
July 22-August 4: Sangria Festival at Jaleo: What better way to celebrate summer than with Sangria Festival? Stay tuned for more info on this Jaleo favorite featuring all the sangrias you could need to beat the summer heat and quench your thirst.
July 30: barmini Virtue Day: Barmini will celebrate the flavors and techniques of non-alcoholic drinks to showcase the versatility of the beverage world. Stay tuned for more info and make your reservations here.
June 17-28: Las Vegas Restaurant Week: Celebrate with a $30 lunch at China Poblano and a $50, 4-course dinner at Jaleo! For each Restaurant Week menu sold, $5 will be donated to Three Square Food Bank, Southern Nevada’s largest hunger-relief organization, which currently provides food in four counties to more than 100,000 individuals.
Now through August: Rosé Mondays at Fish MGM National Harbor: Back by popular demand, we are extending Rosé Mondays through the end of summer. Toast to the season on the Fish patio overlooking the Potomac and National Harbor with specials on Domaines Ott Rosé, a nightly bocce tournament, and more!
