Dessert and a Show

September 2019

This fall, The Bazaar by José Andrés is bringing one of its most iconic dishes – Dessert Graffiti – from its Beverly Hills location to its other two locales in Las Vegas and Miami. Originally created by the team at the flagship Bazaar in Beverly Hills, Dessert Graffiti is designed to be shared by four to six guests andis presented as a tableside confectionary show featuring more than a dozen sweet bites. “Our graffiti is like a canvas,” said Bazaar Beverly Hills Pastry Chef Mitzi Reyes. “They’re all going to be a little different depending on who makes it -- we each bring our own artistic perspective to the dessert.”

The dish is not just interactive and Instagrammable, it’s also philanthropic: each monthly iteration is inspired by a different cause, with a portion of profits benefitting a corresponding charity. In September, all Bazaar locations are honoring National Honey Month, collaborating with The Bee Informed Partnership. Bee My Honey features a tableside presentation of 15 honey-infused and honey-inspired desserts designed to illustrate the importance of the honeybee. October’s dessert, a “Field of Hope,” will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation; November’s “In Flight” dessert will support the Children’s Bureau Blue Tie Gala; and in December a Holiday Piñata theme will raise awareness and funds for the Children’s Miracle Network.
