Celebrate Día de los Muertos with TFG!

October 2017

Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a time when families remember and honor their loved ones. Many family traditions revolve around special food and drink, including pan de muertos, a sweet bread, and calavera de azúcar, beautifully decorated skulls made from sugar. The holiday starts at midnight on October 31st, when families spiritually reunite with loved ones who have passed away for two days of festivities.

You are invited to celebrate Dia de los Muertos at Oyamel. The festival this year is dedicated to Cesar Chavez, the civil rights activist and labor union leader. Join us at the festival kick-off party on Monday, October 23, for a night of special cocktails, tequila and mezcal tastings, live music, an animal roast, and face painting. Or make a reservation between October 23-November 5 to celebrate the tradition with Oyamel!

Or if you find yourself in Las Vegas, check out Day of the Dead at China Poblano, where the team will be celebrating the legendary Mexican film star and comic Mario Moreno, also know as Cantinflas, with food and drink specials, including savory carne apache and a Sagrado Corazon cocktail. The party in Vegas runs from October 20 until November 2, so go check it out!
