Barmini, Beefsteak, Jaleo, Minibar, Zaytinya Make Washington City Paper’s Best Of DC 2016

Washington City Paper’s annual “Best of DC” is out for 2016, and several of José’s restaurants made the list. Here’s what the City Paper team and readers had to say:

barmini- Staff Picks-Best Cocktail Bar: “The José Andrés “cocktail lab” is the kind of place that can impress even the biggest cocktail snob.” 

Beefsteak- Staff Picks-Best Veggie Burger for the BEETsteak Sandwich: “Though the flavors are drastically different, it feels like you’re chomping into a quarter pounder—minus the guilt.” 

Jaleo- Reader Poll-Best Small Plates: Readers say, “Lots of choices and vegetarian options." 

minibar- Staff Picks-Best Restaurant for People Who’ve Already Been Everywhere: “If you’re lucky enough to dine out often, it’s easy to become jaded. But if it’s truly surprises and whimsy you’re looking for, consider an investment in Minibar.”. 

Zaytinya- Reader Poll-Best Middle Eastern Restaurant: Zaytinya also was first runner up for the “Best Small Plates” category.
