Forested Dinner with Chef Michael Costa

On Saturday, June 17th, Zaytinya Head Chef Michael Costa will create a feast on the edge of the forest at Forested, a forest garden in Bowie, Maryland run by farmer Lincoln Smith. Lincoln’s farm grows fruits, nuts, mushrooms, and vegetables on the edge of the forest, aiming to be an entirely sustainable agricultural ecosystem. 15th Annual Paella Festival at Jaleo   

For the fifteenth year in a row, Jaleo will host its annual Paella Festival from June 19 – July 2.  José and his team will be celebrating the traditional Spanish dish with a kick-off party at Jaleo Crystal City on Monday, June 19,  serving an assortment of paellas, tapas, sangria and wine, plus a Mahou Beer Garden on the patio and a Barr Hill Gin tasting station. A Taste of Spain at VinExpo Bordeaux

From June 18-21, José and his good friend Chef Ferran Adrià will be hosting “A Taste of Spain,” a sampling of Spain’s food and wine, at the annual wine extravaganza VinExpo. The two Spaniards have selected chefs from throughout their homeland to showcase the best of what Spain has to offer, along with more than 100 of the country’s best wine bodegas. First Ever Ceviche Festival at China Chilcano

José and the China Chilcano team are hosting their first Ceviche Festival to celebrate National Ceviche Day this June 28!  Head Chef Carlos Delgado describes the dish as the “new sushi” and is excited to showcase local products with Peruvian preparations. Carlos has created six special ceviches alongside the 10 already on the menu, which will be feature on the menu from June 26 to July 9.
